Lopez Winery: New Wine Tourism Center

12.MAY.10, 10:35 Keeping the Spanish colonial style of the winery a new building was built destinated to provide more comfort to the tourist that visits it. With a covered surface of 1750 m2 on three floors, the tourists will have, among other novelties, more comfortable facilities for tastings and wide rooms for different social and executive events.

Ground Floor

In this floor the principal room of 450 m2 is located, with wide windows that offer a nice natural illumination.
The interior gives a warm ambient, comfortable and spacy. Set like an island, a big 11 mts. long bar welcomes the visitors for wine tasting, information and shopping. It has exhibitors where wines, sparklings and olive oils from the winery are shown, besides merchandising items for sale.
A cozy living room where tourists can relax during the tour completes the exquisite decoration.
Leaving the room wide galleries can be seen, facing south you can appreciate the Winery and to the north you arrive to the interior garden of the family manor. This garden offers the chance to do outdoor activities. 

First Floor

This level has 450 m2 and shows the restaurant-saloon where different social and executive events can be organized, plus the enjoyment of local gourmet cuisine.

Underground Room

With approximately 650 m2 this level has a screening room for 62 people with the most advanced technology. In this place visitors can watch the institutional video, to discover the winery’s history and use this room for events and conventions.
This underground is connected directly to the main Cellar and to the basements of the winery through a wide vaulted tunnel. Here you can walk through this attractive halls and appreciate stored bottles, tools and antique machinery used for wine elaboration. This brick tunnels and a distinguished patagonic porphyry floor complete the scene for a cozy atmosphere.
During the tour an antique XIX century water well can be observed, preserved to represent the importance for the development at the initial  times of Lopez family.

In order to preserve the precious objects an old cellar was recycled where a sector for olive oil elaboration use to function, and together with the new construction it creates a 200 m2 museum where the visitor can appreciate part of the original cultural patrimony and the López Family history that they are proud to show.
