The Callia Reservado Torrontes 2010 got the top award in its category, the "Trophy" (equivalent to the Great Gold medal) and was selected the best Argentine Torrontes for export by this prestigious jury.
This edition, called the "World's Best Sommeliers," gathered the world's best sommeliers in our country (Gérard Basset, Göran Klintberg, Gilherme Correa, Élyse Lambert and Roger Dagorn, among others). The theme was chosen not only for the importance of the on-trade in bringing the Argentine wines to the best markets but also for the vital role played by the sommelier in direct communication to the consumer.

The fifth edition of Argentina's major international wine contest concluded with 19 Trophies, 88 Gold medals, 332 Silver medals, and 220 Bronze medals for the 720 samples tasted.
The Callia Reservado Torrontes is made from Torrontes Riojano grapes grown in an estate "finca" located in Valle de Tulum at 650 meters above sea level, in San Juan. This Torrontes variety is the white grape of high enological quality that ranks second in terms of planted area in San Juan. San Juan, in turn, is the Argentine province that ranks third in terms of Torrontes Riojano planted area (following Mendoza and La Rioja).
